This is a space that says nothing apart from what we see about it, what we want to look at and what it accepts to show us, in other words, this is a space, a moment, a space of time.

Nevertheless there’s not so much space, I mean, it’s not that big, at a rough guess. I still have some place, but of course, I ‘m dissolving in it, impossible to see what it is thinking about, I think of the space of course, anyway it’s outside, not here inside, it’s not me, nothing to do with, even if it becomes a little blurry.

I think I’m getting lost inside, One thing is sure, it says nothing but doesn’t think any less…

“ Un espace qui ne dit rien à part ce que nous en voyons, ce que nous voulons regarder et ce qu'il accepte de nous montrer, en bref c'est un espace, un moment, un espace de temps,

        . Pourtant il n'y a pas tant d'espace, je veux dire, c'est pas si grand, à vue de nez, j'ai encore de la place, mais rien à faire, je m'y dissous, pas moyen de voir ce que lui en pense, je pense à l'espace bien sûr, de toute manière c'est dehors, pas là dedans, c'est pas moi, rien à voir avec, même si çà deviens un peu flou. 

Je crois que je m'y perds. Une chose de sûre, il ne dit rien mais n'en pense pas moins... ”

“When I was thinking of presenting the past in passing, I pass currently

from past to present.” 

 “You were drawing the hollows of my memory, I will walk them for you”

During our meeting in the scenography section in l’ENSAV La Cambre ( the

22nd of september 2006), we decided to stop live art to look towards the

past and erect a memorial of our common life.

“Je ne remets pas ta tête” is the first stone: a ritualized reconstitution of

our fixed paths, annotated, distorted, erased, replayed; of our calculated

memories.

«Quand je pensais présenter en passant le passé, je passe présentement

du passé au présent.»

«Tu traçais les creux de ma mémoire, je te les parcourerai.»

Lors de notre rencontre en section scénographie à l’ENSAV La Cambre (le

22 septembre 2006), nous avons décidé d’arrêter le spectacle vivant pour

nous tourner vers le passé et ériger le mémorial de notre vie commune.

Je ne remets pas ta tête en est la première pierre: une reconstitution

ritualisée de nos parcours figés, anotés, déformés, effacés, rejoués; de

nos souvenirs calculés.

LUCILLE CALMEL  & GAËTAN RUSQUET

 lucille Calmel returns in writing on a trip in the U.S.A. on David Wojnarowicz's tracks - raid in the horizontal of a meditation in speeds. She crosses the country, the artist, his work, in three months, and points towards what can remain - or not - from sensory breakaways, to thoughts, to words… She draws randomly from videos taken in the USA with subtitles stemming from facebook statuses randomly as well as randomly chosen of exserpts of spoken texts and sounds.

While Gaëtan Rusquet splits, fragments the body, pick-up rules, shifts actions on chatgaybearroulette. He investigates random, virtual, anonymous encounters, questionning the private and the public, by deceiving intimate codes for a quasi erotic, quasi pornographic ballad, memories gleaned in the United States on David Wojnarowicz's tracks alias Rimbaud wearing his mask for a photographic serie, as a reminder of his avatars and his fictions.

Lucille Calmel revient en écriture sur un périple aux U.S.A. sur les traces de David Wojnarowicz - incursion à l’horizontale d’une méditation en vitesses. Elle traverse le pays, l’artiste, son oeuvre, en trois mois et pointe ce qu’il peut rester -ou pas- d’échappées sensorielles, de pensées, de paroles…
elle use de tirages aléatoires de vidéos prises aux usa avec des soustitres issus de statuts facebook en random ainsi que de prises de textes en voix & sons en aléatoire également

pendant que Gaëtan Rusquet morcelle, fragmente le corps, les codes de drague, décale des actions en chatgaybearroulette. Il explore des rencontres aléatoires, virtuelles, anonymes, questionnant le privé et le public, en se jouant des codes intimes pour une ballade quasi érotique, quasi pornographique, ceci comme souvenirs glanés aux Etats-Unis sur les traces de David Wojnarowicz alias Rimbaud portant son masque pour une série photo, comme rappel de ces avatars et de ses fictions.
